2015.

“TUNNELEN” features an illuminating climbing wall, a creative exercise area and Norway’s longest monkeybar. The concept was designed in 2014 by Taral Jansen, Asveig Marie Jellestad and Mikkel Brandt Bugge for the municipality of Oslo.

The challenge was to get more people to use the pathway system by including the values; safety, activity and pride. After research and concept development, the team and employer decided on concentrating the delievery on the biggest and darkest tunnel.

The result is the concept “TUNNELEN”, which was realized and open for public use in July 2015.

*After receiving project funding, EriksenSkajaa Arkitekter and Braathen landskapsentreprenør was given the task to build and realize the project.
